Gentlefawn Romper

Gentlefawn Romper

Rompers have been around for awhile but this Spring they are really getting some attention. A romper is almost a toddler-like outfit composed of shorts and a dress mixed together creating a onesie-like combo. I personally love this idea and think they are a super cute and comfortable way to look stylish this Spring and Summer. The styles range anywhere from soft cotton, linen, and even denim. They are colorful to grab extra attention. Some people say rompers are too young. I say absolutely not- isn’t everyone looking for a way to dress comfortable yet remain stylish? Rompers are the answer to this reoccuring problem! Not only are they comfy, they are so versatile! I would pair almost any shoe: sandals, heels, or flip flops, for an effortless look of pure style. Rompers are an easy one-piece fix to any outfit crisis. Dress them up or down to fit any occasion. Will you be brave enough to sport a romper this Spring? I know I will!

Sequin Leggings

Sequin Leggings

Sequins made their big debut in 2009 and they definately won’t be going anywhere in 2010. They are just getting started! Whether it’s a sequin top, skirt, dress, or shoe, I love to add that touch of glimmer to create the perfect look. This year I’m bringing many sequins into my wardrobe. They can dazzle up any outfit! It’s important to make sequins the focal point of the outfit. Pair your sequin piece with a plain top, sweater, jeans, or skirt to ensure the sequins get the attention they deserve! It’s very easy to go overboard on bling so make certain you are only wearing one sequin item at a time. Begin 2010 with a bang… or bling, get noticed with shimmering sequins!

Ride in to Fall with Must-Have Items from Pulse!

Monday, October 5th, 2009

Not all of us have horse-riding as a hobby, but that doesn’t mean that you can’t pull off the “casual but cool” Equestrian look with ease!

Koolaburra Amylee Riding Boot

Koolaburra Amylee Riding Boot

The right boots are vital to pull of the Equestrian look. Flat with a rounded toe make for a stylish and comfortable look. Some of the riding boots do have some detailing but simplicity is key. The leather Koolaburra Amylee Riding Boots are perfect for this look. Simple with only seam detailing and a small buckle across the calf, these boots feel as good as they look!

Side Snap Black Leggings

Side Snap Black Leggings

Leggings go perfectly with riding boots. They slip in easy and prevent you from struggling to fit regular jeans inside your boot. My favorite leggings for this look are jean leggings. They give the look of denim but with the stretch and ease of leggings. Available with snaps or zippers on the side for added cuteness!

Before & Again Longsleeve Bella Flower Thermal

Before & Again Longsleeve Bella Flower Thermal

Before and Again longsleeve printed thermals are perfect for this time of year. Lightweight enough for warm temperatures, yet warm enough when Fall’s chill gets in the air. Not to mention, they are waaayyyyyy cuter than your average thermal. Check out  the very large selection of Before and Again thermals that are offered!

Ivy Jane Equestrian Trench Jacket

Ivy Jane Equestrian Trench Jacket

Top this look off with the perfect Fall Jacket. This unique trench jacket by Ivy Jane, has all the right elements to give this look the exclamation point it deserves! Trimmed in corduroy and accented with mis-matched buttons this jacket will have you riding in style all season long!

Vogue Virgin says “Yes!” to Winter White

Dream Culture Ruffle Turtleneck

Dream Culture Ruffle Turtleneck

“No white after Labor Day,” has been a long-taught rule. I’ve always followed it, but this year I’m in the mood to try something new and finally prove that rule wrong. Now of course no one should wear white linen pants in the middle of January, but what about white wool pants? I say, “Go for it!” Fabric is very important though. Wool, cotton, satin and silk are great for Fall and Winter. White shoes after Labor Day are still a big no-no. Try to pair your white with some colorful items to avoid being labeled a “snow queen.” Remember: white after Labor Day is definately doable!

The Boyfriend Blazer; a how-to guide

Free People Boyfriend Blazer
Free People Boyfriend Blazer

In the continuation of all things “boyfriend,” the boyfriend blazer is a fall essential. Blazers are everywhere for fall, so before buying, make sure it is an actual boyfriend blazer. A boyfriend blazer is menswear inspired and is definately oversized. Just because the boyfriend blazer is big and bulky doesn’t mean you have to look big and bulky. Adding a belt is a great way to show off your waist and add an accessory. Wearing this trend with leggings or skinny jeans, will still show off your figure and gives your outfit an element of volume without overdoing it. For an extra touch, check out embellished Boyfriend Blazers. Studs, crystals, or textures, like the lace on this Free People Boyfriend Blazer, takes this fashion trend to the next level!
